13 Twin Mama Purchases I Loved (with Links!)

Raising twins means learning fast, improvising often, and discovering that some baby products become absolute lifelines while others don’t survive the week. When you’re caring for two tiny humans, every purchase either brings real relief or becomes instant clutter. After surviving the newborn phase with twins, these are the things I reached for again and again. These are the items that made our days calmer, our nights smoother, and our home just a little more functional. That’s really why the right products matter. Not because things make motherhood easier, but because the right things give you just enough breathing room to actually experience it.

Twin parenting isn’t just “parenting, but doubled.” It’s its own ecosystem. You’re constantly triaging which baby needs you most in the moment. You don’t have the luxury of single-baby pacing. Everything is a dance, and the choreography changes every day. The items on this list earned their place because they supported that rhythm. Nothing is sponsored.

1. Gerber Flannel Burp Cloths

Soft, absorbent, and LARGE. Truly, don’t play around with tiny burp cloths when you have twins. I had cute little ones for Lily and nothing but regrets. I found these while pregnant with Oak and Ash, and they were a game-changer. They covered shoulders, laps, and the tummy time mat. They washed beautifully and held up through the endless spit-up era.

Bonus: they’re 100% cotton and now live on as household cleaning cloths.

2. Graco DuetConnect Swing + Bouncer

Absolute sanity saver. I thought I could get by with just one swing (leftover from Lily, of course), but it only took a couple of weeks for them to make it clear: they wanted to swing together. Oak and Ash both had colic (at the same time!) and were basically only happy in these swings until they were six months old. It was helpful to have somewhere safe to put them while I made dinner also.

3. Split-Screen Baby Monitor

A must for twins. Being able to see both babies at the same time gave me so much peace of mind during naps and nights. It’s also helpful for figuring out which baby is crying because their leg is stuck between the crib slats before you walk in to a dark room to soothe them.

4. Full-Size Trash Can

I started with two diaper pails. One leftover from Lily, one gifted by my cousin. It took less than a week to realize even two weren’t enough for twin life. Switching to a regular kitchen size trash can was one of my best hacks. No expensive refills, no tiny openings that clog, no fuss. Just a big can, a good lid, and frequent emptying.

5. Honest Sleep Sacks

Soft, breathable, organic, and the perfect weight for my winter babies layered over fleecy PJs. They washed beautifully and held up through constant rotation, which is saying something when you have two. I tried others, but these were the ones I kept reaching for. The zippers are in the right places and I liked the patterns.

6. Montessori-Style High Chairs

No fabric. No drama. These were a dream for twin mealtimes. The tray cover is dishwasher safe. Currently, the harnesses are removed and the boys climb up and down on their own. We’ll keep using them long after the trays are gone by pulling them right up to the dining table.

Bonus: they come in tons of wood and seat colors, so they even match my dining room.

7. Graco Ready2Grow Double Stroller

A true workhorse. Maneuverable, sturdy, and twin-friendly without being a tank. It’s lighter than many double strollers, and removing the canopies makes it even easier to manage. I’m not sure how it fits in a car, but it fits with room to spare in our minivan. I briefly had another double stroller, the kind where one seat is in front of the other, both facing forward, and it weighed significantly more and was harder to open. Thankfully I bought it second hand and was able to sell it.

8. NoseFrida

Honestly, this grossed me out at first and my best friend talked me into getting it. It has paid for itself over and over in avoided hospital stays for congestion that turns into difficulty breathing. There was one night in particular with Oak in the ER. The doctor said she could admit him or she felt comfortable sending him home with me, based on my previous experience knowing the danger signs to look for. I was able to take him home that night and keep his airways clean and he recovered fine. (Not medical advice. Just my experience.)

9. Frida Windi

Not glamorous, but when you have 2 colicky babies at the same time, you become a believer. It didn’t work every single time, but it worked enough times that I bought these on repeat. The babies had an instant switch flip and they would calm afterwards.

10. Frida 3-in-1 Thermometer

Fast, simple, and accurate for everyday checks. It physically can’t be inserted too far, which eased my new-mom nerves.

11. Frida MediFrida Pacifier Medicine Dispenser

A lifesaver for giving meds to two squirmy babies without spills, screams, or battles. The baby thinks he’s getting a pacifier but you load up the medicine into the device, which directs the medicine into the side back of their throat so they have to take it without gagging them. Having given medicine with a regular syringe with my first, this is so much easier and far less messy.

12. Graco Pack ’n Play with Travel Dome

When the boys came home from the hospital, they stayed in my room for three months, each with their own setup. Perfect for containing one baby while tending to the other. The dome was great for newborn naps, especially being a tall person who didn’t want to bend down too far immediately after giving birth. Having two changing tables was more useful than I ever expected, especially during those 2 a.m. messy-diaper-then-immediately-tend-to-the-other-twin moments. When they outgrow the dome, there’s a full-size bassinet built in. When they outgrow that, it’s a regular mini-crib. There is an organizer on one side that held diaper cream, wipes, and a spare onesie.

13. Itzy Ritzy Diaper Bag Backpack

This was recommended to me by a friend when I had to upsize from a normal-sized diaper bag. Stylish, organized, and big enough for twin newborn supplies, toddler gear, plus Mama’s stuff. It has held up beautifully through heavy use and still looks brand new. The mom pocket and the dedicated cell phone pocket made it incredibly functional. I’m still using it.
